snapchat
What is snapchat?
Snap chat is an app used by people across the world
to send messages and pictures to friends. You can also post different
videos you chose to film. Photos and films you send to people can be viewed by
users of snapchat for a time period of 1 to 10 seconds. During the year 2014, a
study was done to find out just how many snaps were sent each day by all of the
users on average. Approximately 700 million snaps were sent all across the app.
This statistic would have now increased as more people would have joined this social network,
therefore more snaps would now be sent each day.

Risks of using snapchat
Although snap chat is used by many social networkers, many
risks apply to anyone. When you post something on snap chat you are taking
a big risk. What you believe is a picture or video that
can be viewed for 10 seconds, can be saved as a screen-shot by the people you send it to and exist forever. A consequence may be people getting a hold of these images and this can affect your job opportunities or your sporting career. People always need be careful about what they post because if a person you don’t like can get their hands on the picture they could do anything to
try and make your life difficult. Once a picture has been sent to someone it
immediately stays on the World Wide Web for ever and can be accessed by
anyone at any time, even 10 years later. This innocent video can come back and haunt you at any time in your life. If an inappropriate picture is posted, many consequences can
happen at any time and affect your life miserably. If you wish to apply for a
job, the person who interviews you is able to search your name and see any
information or pictures you have posted. It may prevent you from getting a job
you worked hard for or even affect applying for a first job. Another consequence may
come from wearing your work clothes when you post a funny or
inappropriate video. This is putting your workplace in danger and your job will
almost definitely get suspended. It may give your workplace a bad reputation and give others a false impression of the company you work for.
